RETAINER POLICY
Dolled Up by McKenna receives many inquiries throughout the year and dates fill up quickly. Therefore, I require a retainer of 50% of individual services and 50% of wedding packages or a portion of the total as a retainer PLUS payments. (Payments will be explained below) Retainers are to be paid immediately by card the day of booking and a signed contract to secure the date right away . Retainer will be applied toward your makeup services. Your retainer will be NON-refundable for reasons including but not limited to; cancellation of event, date change, family friend doing makeup now, change in services, weather, sickness, etc.
TRAVEL POLICY
I am an "on-site makeup artist", which means I travel to you on your special day. I come prepared with makeup for all different skin tones and types, directors chair, ring light for good lighting, camera to take before and afters, and a table if needed. My goal is to make your wedding day prep-time fun and relaxing.
A travel fee is applied 25 miles out of the Waterloo/Cedar Falls area. Any location within 25 miles, I will travel to for free.
Anything over 250 miles from my start point with a start time at 7am or before, I require to stay the night in a motel or hotel the night prior. Motel/hotel will need to be covered by you. Of course I will not expect a 5 star hotel. I just ask to be closer to your location so I am not tired or exhausted and I can work to my full ability the day of your big day!
PAYMENT POLICY
- 50% of individual services is due immediately to reserve date and time. The remainder of the total (including travel or lashes) will be due the day of service.
- 50% of wedding package is due immediately to reserve date and time. If you cannot cover half of the total then you have the option to make payments.
- BRONZE PACKAGES:
- BASIC- 1st pmt. $100 (retainer), 2nd pmt. $100 (due 3mo. prior to date), & final pmt. remainder of total including travel or lashes (due day of service)
- BRONZE- 1st pmt. $100 (retainer), 2nd pmt. $115 (due 3mo. prior to date), & final pmt. remainder of total including travel or lashes (due day of service)
- DELUXE- 1st pmt. $100 (retainer), 2nd pmt. $130 (due 3mo. prior to date), & final pmt. remainder of total including travel or lashes (due day of service)
- SILVER PACKAGES:
- ASIC- 1st pmt. $150 (retainer), 2nd pmt. $125 (due 3mo. prior to date), & final pmt. remainder of total including travel or lashes (due day of service)
- SILVER- 1st pmt. $150 (retainer), 2nd pmt. $150 (due 3mo. prior to date), & final pmt. remainder of total including travel or lashes (due day of service)
- DELUXE- 1st pmt. $150 (retainer), 2nd pmt. $175 (due 3mo. prior to date), & final pmt. remainder of total including travel or lashes (due day of service)
- GOLD PACKAGES:
- BASIC- 1st pmt. $200 (retainer), 2nd pmt. $150 (due 3mo. prior to date), & final pmt. remainder of total including travel or lashes (due day of service)
- GOLD- 1st pmt. $200 (retainer), 2nd pmt. $185 (due 3mo. prior to date), & final pmt. remainder of total including travel or lashes (due day of service)
- DELUXE- 1st pmt. $200 (retainer), 2nd pmt. $220 (due 3mo. prior to date), & final pmt. remainder of total including travel or lashes (due day of service)
- DIAMOND PACKAGES:
- BASIC- 1st pmt. $250 (retainer), 2nd pmt. $175 (due 3mo. prior to date), & final pmt. remainder of total including travel or lashes (due day of service)
- DIAMOND- 1st pmt. $250 (retainer), 2nd pmt. $220 (due 3mo. prior to date), & final pmt. remainder of total including travel or lashes (due day of service)
- DELUXE- 1st pmt. $250 (retainer), 2nd pmt. $265 (due 3mo. prior to date), & final pmt. remainder of total including travel or lashes (due day of service)
- BRONZE PACKAGES:
Final count for people needing a service is due at very least 2 weeks prior to your event day. Once final count has been received, services cannot be removed. You may add additional services up to 1 week prior to your event day. Please contact me to ensure that I have sufficient time to accommodate additional services. Day of add-ons will be at the discretion of myself. However, I will do my best to accommodate to your needs.
A $65 charge will be added to weddings with 11+ people needing services with less than 6 hours to get ready for the additional makeup artist fee.
A $25 charge will be added to weddings that have a getting ready start time earlier than 6am.
A $25 charge will be added to weddings booked on a holiday or holiday weekend.
Please note that I can accept cash or check as forms of payment. Also you may pay with card through PayPal.
All deposits and payments are non-refundable.
- If any additional charges are incurred the day of, the contract is broken and/or conditions were not met, the remaining amount of those charges will be charged.
BEFORE & AFTER PICTURES
- For my portfolio/website/advertising, I like to take before and after photos. If you are uncomfortable with your picture being taken, please let me know.

All trials and consultations are separate and shall be payable prior or at time of service (unless you are doing the Queen Package). Consultations and trials may be done Monday or Tuesday anytime, Thursday 5-8pm, and some Saturdays 12-6pm.

- If any additional charges are incurred the day of, the contract is broken and/or conditions were not met, the remaining amount of those charges will be charged to the credit card on file.
CANCELLATION POLICY
You may cancel your services at any time however; you will forfeit ANY and ALL retainers and/or payments made. In the event that I am unable to perform services for any reason including but not limited to sickness, accident, weather, etc., reasonable accommodations shall be made up to and including a full refund of deposits and services not provided.
BRIDES: You may cancel your services at any time however; you will forfeit ANY and ALL retainers and/or payments made. If you cancel within 2 months of your wedding date, then the remainder of the total is due. 2 months does not give me enough time to replace your wedding/event.
LATE POLICY
I strive to make every effort to ensure a specific timeline for client services is maintained. Therefore, I ask that you respect these timelines by ensuring all wedding party members receiving services arrive at or before the start time listed on the final invoice. A late fee of $20 shall be assessed for each half hour extension required due to late client and/or wedding party members.
